Kirk is on track to make his 2026 debut this week in the 49ers’ game against the Falcons. As strange as it sounds, Kirk has a chance to vault into the 49ers’ No. 1 wide receiver role with Mike Evans (ribs/Achilles) and Deebo Samuel (hamstring) expected to sit out this week. Kirk should be rostered in 12-team formats.
NBC Sports’ Jennifer Lee Chan reported earlier this week that Evans is expected to “miss a little time,” making his two absences unsurprising. Evans has not been formally ruled out, and he is no stranger to playing through injury, but fantasy managers should expect him to miss the 49ers’ Week 7 game against the Falcons.
The 49ers were optimistic about Bosa’s availability for Week 7 against the Falcons, but he is firmly on the wrong side of questionable. The 49ers go on bye in Week 8. Allowing him to fully heal and return in Week 9 for their game against the Raiders could make sense.
Brutal. The Rams lost Davante Adams to a hamstring tendon rupture in Week 6 against the Cardinals, and now they could be without Nacua in Week 7 against the Raiders. The Rams have handled star-player injuries smartly this season. Consider Nacua highly questionable to play, and seek out a backup plan. Konata Mumpfield would serve as the de facto No. 1 wide receiver if Nacua is unable to play.
Gonzalez has evidently come down with an illness. The Patriots will announce their inactive list in less than an hour. They are already without CB2 Carlton Davis (neck) and their top perimeter backup CBs Karon Prunty (hamstring) and Channing Canada (hamstring), plus S Craig Woodson (shoulder) is questionable to play.
According to Holder, multiple teams would be open to trading for Taylor, but it remains unclear whether the Colts are ready to be sellers before the trade deadline. Colts GM Chris Ballard was recently fired, and “it is widely expected that significant organizational changes might be coming” after the eventual hiring of a new general manager.
Seth McGowan
should be stashed on benches at this time.
Holder writes that “trade speculation is swirling” around Buckner and notes that Nelson is in the final year of his deal, potentially providing motivation for the Colts to move him. Neither player had much to say when asked about a potential trade, but per Holder, “it is widely expected that significant organizational changes might be coming after the eventual hire of a new general manager.” Stay tuned.
Wicks swaps out his multi-week hamstring injury for an ankle injury. He managed to play through it in Week 6 against the Panthers after meeting with the training staff. We expect him to face the Cowboys on Monday night, but he is just a boom-bust FLEX.
The Eagles held Smith out for multiple drives in Week 6 against the Panthers, in his first game back from a multi-week hamstring injury. He was also dealing with a toe issue. The latter injury is now behind him, and we suspect that his day off today is just a veteran maintenance day. He should be good to go for the Eagles’ Week 7 game against the Cowboys on Monday night.
Goedert missed time with a knee injury earlier this year, but he was not on the injury report last week. This could just be a maintenance day, but it is worth keeping an eye on in the lead up to the Eagles’ Monday Night Football game against the Cowboys.
Eagles C Drew Kendall (knee) was also limited. Both players were listed as questionable to play in Week 6 against the Panthers. Neither player was able to suit up. Beginning the week with limited sessions is promising. The Eagles face the Cowboys on Monday night.
McDuffie, the Rams’ No. 1 cornerback, and LB Nate Landman (concussion) were both sidelined today. Both players are on the wrong side of questionable for the Rams’ Week 7 game against the Raiders.
The Cowboys’ left tackle played through a minor back issue earlier this month as well. He’s a little banged up at the moment. Whether this injury keeps him out remains to be seen. The Cowboys take on the division-rival Eagles on Monday night.
Chiefs coach Andy Reid told reporters that Rice’s strain was only a “tweak” in his Week 4 post-game remarks. So much for that. The Chiefs will almost assuredly be without their No. 1 wide receiver against the Seahawks this week, leaving Xavier Worthy to handle the role.
Kelce should be good to go for the Chiefs’ Week 7 game against the Seahawks. At 37 years old, he does not need to practice fully in order to play, though it would be nice to see him upgrade to full participation tomorrow. If active, he is a locked-in TE1.
Rozeboom heads to injured reserve with five tackles and one quarterback pressure to his name. The Buccaneers correspondingly activated David Sills from injured reserve
Hockenson did the same yesterday and can be safely expected to start in Week 7 against the Colts’ beatable defense. Hockenson has seemingly developed a strong connection with Kyler Murray and can be started as a fantasy football TE1 this week.
The Vikings’ No. 1 wide receiver posted a 6/79/1 receiving line in the Vikings’ Week 5 win over the Saints. He should be feeling even better at this point, coming off a Week 6 bye. The Colts will notably be without No. 1 cornerback Sauce Gardner (calf) this weekend, making life even easier on Jefferson.
The Falcons’ No. 2 running back was limited yesterday. This series of events suggests Robinson strained his hamstring on Wednesday, putting him on the wrong side of questionable for the Falcons’ Week 6 game against the 49ers. Bijan Robinson would handle a few extra touches in Robinson’s absence. The team does not have a third running back on the active roster.
He’s firmly on the wrong side of questionable. The media air in Indianapolis this week has been spent on the firing of Chris Ballard rather than chasing down Warren’s status, but he does seem very unlikely to play and hasn’t practiced since last Thursday.
The Buccaneers’ No. 1 running back is on track to play in Week 7 against the Panthers. The offense is expected to be led by Baker Mayfield (thumb), who will play with a protective plate on his hand to prevent re-injury. Irving should be good to go this week and can be treated as a high-end RB2, as usual.
He’ll miss, at a minimum, Weeks 7-10 before being eligible to return in Week 12 after the Patriots return from their bye week. The Patriots will try to get by with Matt Pryor at guard for the time being.
It is too early to say whether Mitchell and his surgically repaired finger will be ready to face the Dolphins this week. He is a worthwhile bench stash, though. Mitchell played well early in the year, pre-injury and pre-breakout from rookie Omar Cooper. It is unclear whether Mitchell will return to the No. 2 wide receiver role or if he will be asked to unseat the youngster.
Mays seems likely to be activated off injured reserve ahead of the game given Dan Campbell’s public statements on the matter, him giving a presser today, and the trend to full sessions following the team’s Week 6 bye. It should be an upgrade for Detroit’s offensive line.
He seems likely to be activated off injured reserve after getting the Week 6 bye to get acclimated. Lions DC Kelvin Sheppard has said that Branch will not be on a snap count.
