Okonkwo got in a full practice on Friday after consecutive limited sessions. With Stefon Diggs (hamstring) out, Terry McLaurin (hamstring) questionable and Jayden Daniels (elbow) returning, Okonkwo could warrant top-12 positional treatment this week.
He resumed practicing on Wednesday, was downgraded on Thursday, and was ruled out on Friday. There’s a Chargers short story somewhere in there. Thompson hasn’t played since Week 2. Non-dynasty leaguers don’t have to care about this.
We do not yet know Charbonnet’s Friday participation level, but he remained limited for the first two practices. The Seahawks are smartly bringing him along slowly despite mounting injuries at the position. He should be stashed in 12-team leagues, and could return to a sizable workload when healthy.
Kolar has missed a few weeks with a broken forearm after having surgery on it; he appears close to returning. The Chargers are perhaps wondering, looking at their offensive line, if he can play tackle.
Assuming Bo Nix is actually willing to throw at his wideouts over the middle this week, Los Angeles’ lack of defensive back depth looks tempting for Nix in a rebound spot.
The rarely-seen doubtful tag. Only the Chargers could discover a way for their backup quarterback to get it. DJ Uiagalelei could backup Justin Herbert this week.
We’re assuming the Chargers are going to sign some offensive linemen to the 53-man roster, but as things currently stand it looks like four rookies will start next to Cole Strange. And we don’t even know which four, if you really want to see how deep this despair goes.
Cardinals coach Mike LaFleur said ""It’s a maintenance thing with ankles, you guys see the way he cuts...I don’t know what he’s totally feeling, only he knows...but he’s doing good.” Great, not cryptic at all, Mike. Love is a reasonable low-end RB2 if his ankles decide he wants to play his full allotment of the 50/50 split against the Lions in Week 5.
Holani was nursing a ribs injury on Wednesday and Thursday, but he is now listed with a knee injury as well. This is concerning. He clearly picked up a new injury during the practice week. Velus Jones is the current RB3. Jones is not viable as a FLEX starter if Holani sits, but Emanuel Wilson should take on an RB2-worthy workload regardless.
Nolen was limited in back-to-back practices after popping up with the calf listing on Thursday. He’s played 319 snaps in 21 career opportunities so far.
The Seahawks will have their stud interior defender on hand against the division-rival 49ers. They will be without backup CB Julian Neal (hamstring), who suffered an injury in practice.
Despite an early-week DNP, Swift heads into the week in arguably a better position than he started it. We’re not sure how much workload he’ll handle with Kyle Monangai (foot) out, but it will certainly be a large majority of what the Bears do. Roschon Johnson figures to handle whatever Swift can’t, but isn’t a priority free agency pickup so much as a stash at this point.
Nor are Darnell Wright (ankle) or Jonah Jackson (ankle), as all three got in two sessions after a Wednesday DNP. It seems like all three just got a maintenance day. The Bears line will be in good shape this week against the Packers.
He did practice three consecutive days, even if they were all limited sessions. We’d regard Dowdle as on the optimistic side of questionable to return and cut in to Jaylen Warren’s full-time workload. It’s a good matchup against a Colts line that has, at times, had issues defending the run game. Dowdle will be a hard-to-start FLEX if active with a questionable workload.
Fant sat out in Week 4 after scoring two touchdowns in Week 3. He is not fantasy-relevant on his own, but he can serve as a checkdown option for Tyler Shough. The Saints labeled WR Barion Brown (thigh) questionable to play this week.
He did upgrade to a full practice today so he’s at least likely on the optimistic side of questionable. Still, we were hoping he’d be cleared off the line entirely today, so it does give us a little hesitation that he could practice all three times this week, including one full, and still be questionable. The Colts don’t really have much else behind him.
After dealing with an ankle injury that sidelined him most of the first three weeks, Dulin picked up a hamstring injury and did not practice all week before being ruled out ahead of this game. Laquon Treadwell prayer starts remain on the fantasy football menu.
The Colts are banged up at wide receiver and ESPN’s Stephen Holder believes this might have been the week the Colts finally got Slayton involved. He suffered a knee injury in Friday’s practice, though. He does not need to be rostered in 12-team formats.
He went from a Wednesday DNP to a Friday full practice and should be fine to start for the Colts this week.
Pollard will take on the 0-4 Texans, who have had some trouble handling the run, and should be a viable low-end RB2 this week. He continues to get Wednesday vet days while dealing with this foot injury, but doesn’t seem to be in any real danger of missing time.
He went from a Wednesday DNP to a Friday full session and should see his normal allotment of snaps and havoc-causing against Houston’s beleaguered interior offensive line.
Bryant will be eligible to return from injured reserve in Week 9, when the Broncos face the Panthers. The Broncos go on bye in Week 10, though, so if he isn’t feeling ready to play, they could hold him out until they face the division-rival Raiders in Week 11. Bryant’s absence could create more opportunities for Courtland Sutton and Marvin Mims, but Jaylen Waddle may end up hogging targets instead.
This was foreshadowed a bit by the appearance of Pierre Strong Jr. on the roster. It’s unclear how the Packers will handle third-down reps between Strong, Kaleb Johnson, and MarShawn Lloyd on Sunday. Strong was on the field for 138 passes of his 192 snaps in 2024 with the Browns.
Williams isn’t a half-bad IR stash though with almost all of the offense flowing through Christian Watson and Matthew Golden right now. The WR3 room has been thinned with injuries and Jayden Reed (neck) won’t return this year. Williams could play a major role once activated from IR; this is just the first week of his 21-day window where he was designated to return.
He did not practice on Friday and was ruled out. The Texans reportedly pushed hard on Dell in full pads on Thursday’s practice despite the questionable listing, it seems his body did not react as they’d hoped. This leaves Jaylin Noel in a potential FLEX-useful spot against a rough Titans secondary.
