49ers declared DE Nick Bosa, WR Mike Evans, WR Deebo Samuel, LB Luke Gifford, LB Garret Wallow, S Marques Sigle, and QB Kurtis Rourke inactive for Week 7 against the Falcons. 2026-10-25 12:00:02 None of these comes as a surprise. All of Bosa, Evans, and Samuel were already ruled out earlier in the week, and Sigle has missed multiple weeks with an ankle injury. Brandin Cooks and Christian Kirk are likely to lead the 49ers’ pass catchers against the Falcons this week, and both are worth adding in deeper formats in case either emerges as a legit weapon while Evans (Achilles) and Samuel (hamstring) are sidelined. |

Mike Evans (Achilles) will not play in San Francisco’s Week 7 game against the Falcons. 2026-10-23 17:00:02 He didn’t practice all week and will get San Francisco’s Week 8 bye to recover. The 33-year-old’s absence will leave veterans Christian Kirk and Brandin Cooks along with youngsters Jacob Cowing and Jordan Watkins on the 49ers receiver depth chart for Sunday. |

Mike Evans (ribs/Achilles) did not practice on Thursday. 2026-10-22 19:00:02 NBC Sports’ Jennifer Lee Chan reported earlier this week that Evans is expected to “miss a little time,” making his two absences unsurprising. Evans has not been formally ruled out, and he is no stranger to playing through injury, but fantasy managers should expect him to miss the 49ers’ Week 7 game against the Falcons. |

Mike Evans (Achilles) did not practice Wednesday. 2026-10-21 17:00:02 Evans is already expected to miss “a little time” because of his Achilles tendinitis, so this isn’t a surprise. It’s safe to assume he’s out for at least Week 7, but the good news is that it’s not expected to be a long-term issue. Evans could be back as soon as Week 9 following the 49ers’ bye week. With Deebo Samuel all but ruled out for this week’s matchup with Atlanta, Brandin Cooks and Jordan Watkins are set for starting roles on Sunday. |

49ers beat reporter Jennifer Lee Chan reports Mike Evans’ Achilles is intact but he is expected to “miss a little time.” 2026-10-20 00:00:02 Chan speculates that the window for his recovery could align with the team’s Week 8 bye week, meaning Evans would miss just one game with an aggravation of the Achilles injury that had him listed as questionable heading into Monday Night Football against the Commanders. All things considered, it’s solid news for Evans, the 49ers, and his fantasy managers. Expect a more concrete update from the team in the coming days as they limp into a Week 7 game against the Falcons down plentiful impact wide receivers. |
