News for Carter, Michael
Titans coach Robert Saleh said Michael Carter was active over rookie Nick Singleton because “Michael has three-down value with regards to protections and being able to understand how to play the game on third down.”

Nick Singleton is “still growing in that regard,” per Saleh. It sounds like Singleton may need to wait for a Tony Pollard trade to open up early-down carries if he’s going to be active this year.

Michael Carter suffered an abdominal injury in Week 5 against the Jaguars and will not return.

Right guard Tyler Steen is questionable to return with a shoulder injury. Philly came into this game without several key players because of injuries. Now they will be without even more players on both sides of the ball.

Titans declared RB Michael Carter, CB Jaylon Jones, OG Drew Moss, OT Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson, TE Kylen Granson, and DT Jackie Marshall inactive for Week 4 against the Ravens.

Tyjae Spears was the only player of note carrying an injury designation into Week 4 for the Titans, and he is officially active. The 0-3 Titans hit the road to take on a stout Ravens defense that ranks 13th in yards allowed through the first three games of the season.

Titans signed RB Michael Carter to their active roster.

Carter joins what is now a five-man RB room of Tony Pollard, Tyjae Spears, Julius Chestnut, and Nicholas Singleton. It’s an interesting move in the sense that perhaps it portends a follow-up, or perhaps one of Pollard or Spears are in real danger of missing this week’s game after Spears was questionable and Pollard spent time on the injury report in Week 3. Spears wound up playing 28 snaps despite seeing just three touches against the Giants.
