News for Strong, Pierre
Pierre Strong rushed 11 times for 28 yards in the Packers’ Week 6 win over the Cowboys, adding 39 yards on five receptions. 2026-10-19 01:00:02 Strong’s 17 opportunities handily led the backfield on a night MarShawn Lloyd was in and out of the game due to an early injury scare. Even so, he managed only 2.8 yards per carry that was overshadowed by the looking return of lead back Josh Jacobs, the latter of whom is expected to be activated from the commissioner exempt list Monday. Strong, Lloyd, and Kaleb Johnson can safely be returned to the waiver wire from whence they came.
Pierre Strong rushed five times for seven yards in the Packers’ Week 5 win over the Bears, adding three receptions for 11 yards. 2026-10-11 20:00:02 Making his Packers debut, 27-year-old journeyman Strong slid into Chris Brooks’ (ankle, injured reserve) vacated role. Although it’s a potential concern for MarShawn Lloyd and Kaleb Johnson — any new face in this makeshift backfield would be — it appears to be a bigger issue for Johnson, as Strong was playing ahead of him until garbage time. Ominous for Johnson managers, though Strong has little shot at carving out 12-team league value of his own.
Packers released Pierre Strong. 2026-08-30 14:00:02 Strong was released right after it was reported that the team was acquiring Kaleb Johnson from the Steelers. He spent the 2025 season on the Packers’ practice squad and was elevated for two games. Strong will likely find work on another practice squad once rosters are settled.
