Chig Okonkwo caught 2-of-4 targets for 32 yards in the Commanders’ Week 8 win over the Eagles. 2026-11-02 01:00:01 Okonkwo flashed his athletic ability with a full-stretch reception in the second half but it was not enough to overshadow a first quarter fumble. The spry veteran has now been held to four receptions or fewer in four of five appearances in the low volume Washington pass offense, unable to return consistent fantasy value through the absence of Terry McLaurin. He is best left on fantasy benches in a Week 9 matchup against the Rams. |

Chig Okonkwo caught all seven targets for 69 yards in the Commanders’ Week 6 loss to the 49ers. 2026-10-20 00:00:02 Okonkwo was thrust into an increased role with the departure of lead wide receiver Terry McLaurin in the first quarter, operating as the primary option through the air for much of the game. Veteran wide receiver Stefon Diggs continued to operate in a situational role, making Okonkwo a priority start when the Commanders come out of their Week 7 bye to face the Eagles in Week 8. |

Chig Okonkwo caught 4-of-6 targets for 60 yards in the Commanders’ Week 5 tie with the Giants. 2026-10-11 22:00:02 Okonkwo caught two passes on the Commander’s opening and immediately topped his previous best game of the season. He hauled in passes of 11 and 23 yards on back-to-back catches before Jacory Croskey-Merritt ended the drive with a 33-yard touchdown run. Okonkwo would come up with a 25-yard reception later in the second quarter on a drive that ended with a Drew Stevens field goal, but was targeted just one time in the second half. It was an overall nice outing for Okonkwo, but fantasy managers shouldn’t rush to add him to their lineups. He’ll be a boom-or-bust streaming option in Week 6 against the Niners. |

Chig Okonkwo (hamstring) is not on the final injury report for Week 5 against the Giants. 2026-10-09 17:00:03 Okonkwo got in a full practice on Friday after consecutive limited sessions. With Stefon Diggs (hamstring) out, Terry McLaurin (hamstring) questionable and Jayden Daniels (elbow) returning, Okonkwo could warrant top-12 positional treatment this week. |

Chig Okonkwo (hamstring) was limited in Thursday’s practice. 2026-10-08 17:00:03 With Terry McLaurin and Stefon Diggs both absent for a second day in a row on Thursday, Okonkwo could catch some desperation TE1 steam on Friday. He seems on track to play and Jayden Daniels should provide a more reliable passing floor than he had last week. |
