News for Sampson, Dylan
Dylan Sampson caught six passes for 62 yards in the Browns’ Week 8 loss to the Steelers.
2026-11-01 17:00:03
Sampson only had one carry in this game, gaining seven yards, but he was third on the team in targets and second on the team in receiving yards. Early reports show that he played 11 more snaps than Quinson Judkins and ran a route on 29 of the team’s 49 dropbacks, compared to seven for Judkins. Sampson is very clearly the pass-catching back in Cleveland, and a good one too. If this team is going to be trailing often, he’ll have PPR value.

Dylan Sampson (knee) practiced in full on Thursday.

He played last week just fine, so it seems like he was just given a bit of a breather on Wednesday during a limited session. Sampson should handle 5-10 touches for the Browns on Sunday against the Steelers.

Dylan Sampson (knee) was limited on Wednesday.

The Browns’ No. 2 running back played through his knee injury effectively last week, totaling 79 scrimmage yards and three receptions against the Titans. He should be expected to continue playing productively on his limited workload moving forward. He is not a must-start player in Week 8 against the Steelers, but he belongs in the FLEX conversation.

Dylan Sampson had six rushes for 45 yards in the Browns’ Week 7 win against the Titans, adding three catches for 34 yards.

In his first action of 2026, Sampson looked spry and explosive as the Browns’ No. 2 back behind Quinshon Judkins, who totaled over 100 yards and scored two touchdowns on the day. Sampson, meanwhile, logged more pass routes and targets than Judkins. It would appear Sampson is the next guy up in the Cleveland backfield if Judkins misses time in the coming weeks. He should be rostered in most 12-team leagues as a bench stash.

Browns activated RB Dylan Sampson (knee) from injured reserve.
2026-10-24 13:00:01
Sampson was limited in practice throughout the week and listed as questionable for Week 7 against the Titans. Now that he’s officially been activated from injured reserve, he’s likely to be Cleveland’s change-of-pace back behind Quinshon Judkins this week. Sampson is worth stashing on fantasy benches, but is truly just a desperation FLEX play coming off a knee injury that’s sidelined him since Week 1.
