Tyler Shough completed 30-of-38 passes for 273 yards with a touchdown and an interception in the Saints’ 16-10, Week 7 loss to the Steelers. 2026-10-25 13:00:02 Shough’s seven rushing yards led the team, which isn’t ideal. The 27-year-old was mostly accurate and on-time with his throws, but he should have had three turnovers on the first half — one dropped interception, one strip-sack that was overturned and one fumble that luckily went out of bounds — and he threw a costly red-zone interception. It wasn’t Shough at his best, but there were some flashes of brilliance in the loss. Shough will get a bye week before he faces the Browns in Week 9. |

Tyler Shough completed 16-of-30 passes for 144 yards and three touchdowns in the Saints’ 34-27, Week 6 win over the Giants, adding five carries for 32 yards and a touchdown. 2026-10-18 17:00:02 The Saints had their usual slow start on offense, going scoreless in the first quarter. Shough then did what he does best and led an effective offensive effort the rest of the way. He is dealing with broken bones in his non-throwing hand and it arguably impacted some of his throws, missing open receivers and struggling to push the ball downfield. Though he averaged 4.8 yards per attempt, he totaled three touchdowns on the day. Shough was also impactful as a runner, totaling 32 yards and a tush push touchdown on the day while also getting tackled inside the five-yard line on another rush. Two straight games have been impacted by Shough’s hand injury but the post-first quarter volume continues to elevate his fantasy floor. Shough is a high-end QB2 for Week 7 against the Steelers. |

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Tyler Shough has two broken bones in his non-throwing hand. 2026-10-18 09:00:02 Both Shough and Kellen Moore have given non-answers when asked about the quarterback’s left hand. Per Schefter, the injury could take a couple of months to heal, but it will not cost him any playing time. Shough injured his hand versus the Falcons in Week 4 and wore a protective glove in Week 5. He is coming off his two worst games of the year, though we don’t suspect the hand is to blame. Things get much easier this week with the Giants on tap. Shough will get another shot at a QB1 finish in Week 6. |

Saints coach Kellen Moore, asked directly if Tyler Shough’s non-throwing hand is broken, said “it got banged two weeks ago and he’s just wearing some protective layers there.” 2026-10-12 16:00:02 So, probably, then. The hand hasn’t really been a contributing factor to New Orleans’ decline so much as the Saints offensive line has just been in the blender for two weeks against Atlanta and Minnesota’s fronts, but it sure looks like Shough is managing through something and we should probably break ties against him in the rankings. |

Tyler Shough completed 16-of-25 passes for 96 yards and two interceptions in the Saints’ 23-13, Week 5 loss to the Vikings. 2026-10-11 19:00:02 Shough had been coasting on extreme play volume over the first month of the fantasy season. Brian Flores and the Vikings’ hyper-aggressive defense had no issues shutting down that approach. The Saints had five drives in the first half. Only one lasted longer than three plays. Of their four second-half drives, two ended with interceptions. A fumbled kickoff coming out of the break didn’t help the team’s play volume either. Shough has ultimately been a better fantasy quarterback than a real-life passer this year and the Vikings’ defense exposed that truth for the better part of four quarters. He will look to rebound against a far worse Giants unit in Week 6. |
