NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Commanders WR Jaylin Lane suffered a fracture and dislocation of his ankle and is likely out for the season. 2026-10-05 12:00:03 London will undergo additional testing to confirm, but we’ll go ahead and assume the second-year receiver/return man is done for this season. Lane’s leg got twisted up under his body while he was returning a kick and he had to be carted from the field after the play. Lane has 18 career receptions for 250 scoreless yards but returned two punts for touchdowns as a rookie last season and has returned 12 kicks for 295 yards this season. Luke McCaffrey, who has been a healthy scratch for most of the season, will likely be active going forward given his abilities as a receiver/returner. |

Jaylin Lane was carted off the field with a leg injury in Week 4 against the Colts. 2026-10-04 12:00:02 Lane’s left knee was badly twisted under his body as he was being taken down on a kick return. He was carted off the field and several Commanders players came up the cart to console him. The team hasn’t made it official yet, but he will not return today. |

Commanders WR Jaylin Lane (groin) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 2 against the Cowboys. 2026-09-18 17:00:02 Lane caught 1-of-1 targets for four yards last week. He is not on the fantasy radar for 12-team managed leagues, although it is nice to know that his groin is feeling better. Commanders rookie WR Antonio Williams has seemingly leapfrogged Lane after one game. |

Jaylin Lane (groin) was limited in Wednesday’s practice. 2026-09-16 17:00:02 A limited session this early in the week shouldn’t stop Lane from suiting up on Sunday, but it’s worth noting. Lane split the WR4 role with Antonio Williams in Week 1. Williams stole the show with four catches for 64 yards and a score. If Lane can’t suit up this week, Williams could be in line for a larger role. |
