News for Chism, Efton
Efton Chism caught 5-of-5 targets for 37 yards and one fumble lost in the Patriots’ Week 8 win over the Dolphins. 2026-11-01 21:00:02 Chism drew the start opposite Kyle Williams in the Patriots’ victory over the Dolphins. Dolphins LB Jacob Rodriguez punched the ball out of Chism’s possession on the wide receiver’s first catch, during the Patriots’ second drive, but the wide receiver corps’ short-staffed state meant coach Mike Vrabel could not bench him. Chism chipped in three catches on the Patriots’ touchdown-scoring eighth drive, including a clutch eight-yard catch on 1st-and-goal from the Dolphins’ 15-yard line that helped set up Drake Maye’s end zone plunge. Chism will be FLEX against the Packers next week if A.J. Brown (knee) remains sidelined.
Efton Chism was held without a catch in the Patriots’ Week 6 win over the Jets. 2026-10-18 19:00:03 Coming off a two-game stretch where he surprisingly popped up for 99 combined yards, Chism was held under two receptions for third time in five 2026 appearances. This, as A.J. Brown returned to the lineup. Romeo Doubs (shoulder) did depart, but Chism is never going to have the advantage on Pop Douglas for slot/short-area looks. He is not a realistic consideration in 12-team leagues.
Efton Chism III caught 2-of-4 targets for 42 yards and a touchdown in a Week 4 win over the Bills. 2026-10-04 17:00:02 Chism III’s touchdown was a spectacular diving one-handed touch in tight coverage that gave the Patriots a late lead over the Bills. It was an unreal grab on a third-down play in the biggest moment of the game. His only other catch was also on a third-and-long to keep a drive alive. With Mack Hollins (calf) leaving this game early, Chishm III played on 30 of the team’s 70 snaps and ran a route on 18 of their 43 dropbacks. The 24-year-old came into today with just five career catches, but he could be in for a bigger role in Week 5. He is still not a priority add in fantasy leagues.
