Chargers OG Kayode Awosika (fibula), S Derwin James (hamstring) and CB Donte Jackson (hamstring) also remained sidelined. The Chargers take on the division-rival Chiefs this weekend.
The Bills’ stud defensive tackle is on the wrong side of questionable for the Bills’ Week 6 game against the Raiders. Fortunately, the pass rush is playing very effectively despite Oliver’s continued injury issues.
It looks like the Bills could again be without their No. 1 wide receiver on game day. Josh Allen and Co. take on the Raiders this weekend, in what should be a fantasy-friendly game environment. Hopefully, Moore resumes practicing soon.
This is a good first step, but Palmer may need another week or so off before he returns to the field. Palmer injured his shoulder in practice last week and was unable to face the Rams in Week 5.
Unfortunately, Bosa has not yet resumed practicing, though the 49ers have an extra day to let Bosa rehab. They face the Commanders in Week 6’s Monday Night Football game. Late last week, Bosa told reporters that it is “pretty darn likely” he plays in Week 6. Stay tuned.
The Chiefs’ starting left tackle might need more time off, but his continued practice participation is good to see. The Chiefs take on the struggling Chargers this week, and may be able to get by alright without him.
The Patriots’ left tackle seemingly has a chance to play in Week 6 against the Jets. According to Mass Live’s Mark Daniels, Campbell “was out here moving well in full pads,” and lined up with the starters during the portion of practice open to the media. This is great news for Drake Maye.
Ekeler and Jacory Croskey-Merritt (groin) are both ailing, though the latter player sat out entirely. Rachaad White (shoulder) and Jeremy McNichols (quad) are both practicing in full. Croskey-Merritt is the only fantasy-relevant Commanders running back at this time, assuming he is good to go on Monday night.
McLaurin posted a 4/62 receiving line, playing through this hamstring injury in Week 5 against the Giants. Kicking off the week with a limited session is a great sign for his Week 6 availability and overall health. Expect McLaurin to be even more involved against the 49ers on Monday night.
Moss, one of the Broncos’ starting cornerbacks, returns from a one-game absence. He injured his ribs in Week 4 against the 49ers. The Broncos declared QB Sam Ehlinger, OL Kage Casey, TE Dallen Bentley, DL Jordan Jackson and DL Tyler Onyedim inactive for Week 6 against the Seahawks. Ehlinger will serve as the team’s emergency third quarterback.
Palmer also clarified that Surtain did not suffer a non-contact injury, as has been reported previously. Surtain apparently injured his ankle two plays before he exited the Broncos’ Week 5 game against the 49ers. The Broncos might be able to get by without Surtain next week, but getting him back before facing Patrick Mahomes would be huge.
We already knew that Montgomery was considered week-to-week, so this is unsurprising. Woody Marks will start for however long Montgomery is sidelined. The Jaguars field one of the NFL’s best run defenses, but Marks ceded just one snap to Dare Ogunbowale last week. Theoretically, he should remain in a near-full-time role, elevating him to the RB2/FLEX tier despite the tough matchup.
The Texans depart for London tonight to face the Jaguars on Sunday, and Dell will remain in Texas. He is currently practicing in full, but the team has not yet cleared him for game-day activities. Dell does not need to be stashed in 12-team leagues at this time.
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo said he is “still hearing optimism he’ll play Sunday. We’ll see.” Given his follow-up comment, it doesn’t seem like he shares the organization’s optimism. If active, Smith would be catching passes thrown by backup Tanner McKee. Jalen Hurts is sidelined indefinitely by a blood clot. McKee, a pocket passer, could lock onto Smith, keeping him in the WR2 tier if active.
Barkley is firmly on the wrong side of questionable for his team’s Week 6 game against the Panthers, potentially leaving Dameon Pierce, Carson Steele and practice squad player Jaydon Blue to split touches. Hopefully, reports clarify whether Pierce would handle a sizable workload as the de facto starter.
Wicks played through the hamstring injury in Week 5 and may have made it worse. Downgrading to a DNP on Thursday is a bad sign. He is unlikely to play at this time, and if active, he would be prone to re-injury.
He has been limited twice and doesn’t look close to clearing concussion protocol. It’s become rarer for players to launch a Friday comeback to get off protocol, but it’s not unprecedented. Sadiq looks like he’s on the doubtful side of questionable heading into Friday.
It’s his first full practice since suffering the toe injury. Dowdle looks to be headed for hard-to-trust FLEX territory with Jaylen Warren crushing in his absence and Mike McCarthy (rightfully) saying that Warren deserves the lion’s share of the workload at the moment.
It’s an upgrade from Wednesday’s DNP. Depending on how optimistic Friday’s practice status is, Benton will likely either find himself questionable for Week 6 or pulled off the injury report entirely on Friday.
It’s an upgrade from Wednesday’s DNP. Ramsey initially played through the wrist ailment in Week 4 and seems likely to continue to do so in Week 6.
It was a surprising downgrade from Wednesday’s limited session, putting Spears’ status for Week 6 into real question. If he sits, we’re not entirely sure which Titans third-string back would get breather duties. Kalel Mullings, who was a practice squad activation, got the only non-Tony Pollard/Spears snap in Week 5. Nicholas Singleton and Michael Carter are also both on the active roster.
Mooney’s participation puts him on track to face the Saints in Week 6. He does not need to be in 12-team lineups, and his presence, unfortunately, keeps Malachi Fields from potentially playing in a full-time role.
Unlike yesterday, Henderson was spotted at the open portion of practice and appears to be making a real run to play in Week 6. If not for the report that he’d miss multiple weeks with a high-ankle sprain, this would be a pretty clear trend towards Henderson playing. As is, we’ll see what happens on Friday. It sure seems like he’ll hit the questionable line one way or another, but how it looks will be important as far as figuring out his Week 6 status.
Unless we get word that it’s an exceptionally rough illness, we’d expect no worse than a questionable listing on Friday despite the two missed practices. Olave should remain a smash WR1 against the Giants in Week 6.
Kamara played through this injury in Week 5, and it doesn’t seem like he’s in any real danger of missing this one. It would be nice to see a full practice on Friday, but even if we don’t get that, Kamara should be a FLEX consideration for Week 6.
