Brown has been rehabbing from a high-ankle sprain he suffered in the season-opener. It was reported on Sunday that Brown was walking without a limp, and last week NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported that “the hope is” Brown will play in Week 6 against the Jets. The team has not opened his return window, which they will need to do in order for him to practice this week. Once that happens, the focus will then move to his practice status and whether or not he can log a full practice or two before the weekend. We would expect Brown’s 21-day return window in the next 24 hours if the team really believes there’s a chance he could return this week.
() The Lions defense! Quitoriano, Arizona’s No. 2 tight end, remains outside of the fantasy TE2 discussion. These were his first touchdowns since the 2022 season, doubling his career total to four.
Head coach Ben Johnson said on Sunday that Williams would be “close” to suiting up for Week 6, and he reportedly had a good workout before Week 5’s game against the Packers. Williams has missed the last three games with the hamstring injury he suffered in Week 2, but the Bears have managed to go 2-1 over that span. Williams logged one limited practice last week, after being a DNP on Wednesday and Thursday. If he can get on the practice field multiple days this week, it would be a good sign for his availability for next week’s game against the Falcons.
The Eagles’ running backs room continues to take hits. After losing Tank Bigsby (core) last week to a multi-week injury, the team is now preparing to be without Shipley for multiple weeks. Saquon Barkley, who missed Week 5 with a hamstring injury, could be back as early as Week 6 against the Panthers, but if he’s unable to play, the Eagles could be looking at Dameon Pierce and Jaydon Blue as their top two backs. Shipley totaled 13 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown on six touches before going down yesterday.
Schwesinger has not been ruled out for Week 6’s game against the Ravens, and attempted to play through the injury at one point. With a big AFC North matchup on tap for this week, it wouldn’t be surprising if the Browns gave Schwesinger every opportunity to play. His practice status will be one to keep an eye on throughout the week. The 2025 Defensive Rookie of the Year has totaled 43 tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble this season.
Gadsden had another disappointing outing for the Chargers and his fantasy managers on Sunday. He’s now been held without a catch in two of his last three games and has yet to exceed 36 receiving yards in any game this season. Playing in one of the worst offenses in the league certainly doesn’t help things, but Gadsden can’t be trusted by fantasy managers at this point and won’t be on the fantasy radar in Week 6 when the Chargers visit the Chiefs.
The MRI will help determine the severity of Samuel’s injury, but the 30-year-old receiver is likely looking at a multi-week absence after he was quickly ruled out of Sunday’s game. Samuel has caught 16 passes for 206 yards and three touchdowns this season for the Niners while adding another 78 yards on nine carries. He seems unlikely to play in Week 6 against the Commanders, which means we could see an increased role for either Jacob Cowing or Brandin Cooks, who scored in Week 5’s win over the Seahawks.
According to Rapoport, Jackson was “closer than people realized” to playing in Week 5 against the Falcons, which is an encouraging sign as the Ravens enter a pivotal matchup against the Browns. Jackson’s injury didn’t appear too severe when it initially happened in the second quarter of Week 4’s win over the Titans, so it’s not too surprising to hear that he nearly suited up for Sunday night’s game. That said, Jackson’s injuries have lingered in the past, so we’ll be monitoring his status throughout the week. If he’s not able to go, Tyler Huntley would make a second straight start for the Ravens, who currently lead the AFC North with a 4-1 record.
Penix will undergo an MRI on Monday to confirm the severity of his injury, but it doesn’t sound like he’s at risk of missing much time. Penix exited in the fourth quarter of Sunday night’s game against the Ravens and was forced to stay on the sideline in overtime to watch Tua Tagovailoa throw the game-losing interception shortly after the Ravens scored the go-ahead touchdown. Penix threw for 240 yards and a touchdown and has been solid in his three games since returning from injury. If he’s not able to start in Week 6, Tagovailoa would presumably draw the start at home against the Bears.
According to Fowler, Wilson is seeking a second opinion on his injury. He was initially diagnosed with a dislocated finger, but given today’s report, it sounds like this may be more severe than initially expected. Wilson entered Week 5 with back-to-back 60-plus-yard games and had been targeted six times in each of his first four games. Rookie Germie Bernard, who caught 6-of-9 targets for 80 yards in Week 5’s win over the Colts, will be worth a claim on waivers this week and profiles as a WR4/FLEX option in PPR leagues for Week 6 against the Buccaneers.
London started slow along with the rest of an Atlanta offense that gained just 37 total yards on their first three possessions before a 78-yard scoring drive to end the half. He would add six receptions after the break to push his season average to 127 yards per game in games started by Michael Penix. Penix departed late in the fourth quarter with a ribs injury, suddenly making London’s fantasy managers skittish after the veteran receiver managed a meager 80 total yards in two games without Penix to begin the season. Fantasy managers will want to monitor Atlanta’s starting quarterback’s status in the coming days ahead of a Week 6 meeting with the Bears, where London will be a WR1 with Penix or an upside WR3 in his absence.
Dotson’s 54 yards finished second on the team behind alpha Drake London but his four targets finished behind London, Kyle Pitts, and Bijan Robinson. His status as the starting wide receiver opposite London likely means little in the wake of modest volume games that continue to stack up. He can safely be left on, or returned to, the waiver wire.
Pitts remained largely confined to short area work with his game-long reception going for only 13 yards. A second quarter touchdown from five yards out gave the veteran tight end his first trip to paint through five games and his five receptions doubled that of his previous four appearances. Pitts remains a difficult weekly start for as long as Drake London and Bijan Robinson remain healthy, which doesn’t change ahead of a Week 6 meeting with the Bears in Atlanta.
Huntley was in command of the offense throughout, showing poise and pocket presence in the face of one of the most stout defensive fronts in the league. The Ravens marched the field on the opening possession but a dropped touchdown from tight end Mark Andrews forced them to settle for a field goal. Their next possession resulted in a Mark Andrews fumble that was returned for a touchdown, forcing the Ravens to play from behind for the remainder of the game. Down by eight with just over two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, Huntley took the ball and led the team to a touchdown and successful two-point conversion to force overtime. He would then lead an opening possession touchdown drive in the extra frame, with the team escaping with an unlikely comeback victory on a game-sealing interception. Huntley could be tasked with another start in Week 6 against the Browns after late-week reports indicated that Lamar Jackson could be headed for another absence. Huntley will be a middling QB2, should he start.
Henry also tacked on a successful two-point conversion to further pad his counting stats. The King erupted for 59 yards in the first half before being largely held in check for the final two quarters with the Ravens playing from behind. He would watch from the sidelines for the duration of the team’s final possession in the two-minute drill but came on the field to tie the game with a two-point conversion on a direct snap. The Falcons were no match for Henry in the extra frame, with the bruising back tacking on an additional 32 yards on the ground on the team’s lone overtime possession. Henry continues to turn back the clock while notching his eighth touchdown in five appearances, having scored in every game to start the season. He remains an elite RB1 ahead of a Week 6 meeting with the Browns.
Bateman had a relatively quiet game until notching 38 yards on three receptions on the team’s final possession of regulation, helping to spur an improbable comeback victory in overtime. The team took the ball with just over two minutes remaining down by eight, eventually driving the field and tacking on a two-point conversion to send the game to extra time. Bateman remains a shaky FLEX option for as long as Zay Flowers remains healthy, which doesn’t change ahead of a Week 6 meeting with the Browns.
Flowers was largely confined to short area work with Tyler Huntley under center and also saw a 26-yard reception erased from his ledger due to a 29-yard pass interference penalty on the play. It was a weird situation in which the penalty yardage was greater than his reception. Fantasy managers might be forced to continue waiting on the return of Lamar Jackson after it was reported this week that the All Pro starter could be forced to miss another week. Flowers is a locked-in WR2 against the Browns in Week 6 with Huntley under center and an elite WR1 should Jackson return.
Andrews dropped a would-be touchdown on the team’s opening possession on a ball that went through his hands in the end zone. He would then fumble on the following possession, which Jessie Bates returned for a touchdown to force the Ravens into catch-up mode for the remainder of the game. Luckily for him, late heroics from Tyler Huntley and Derrick Henry had the team escaping with a victory. Andrews has not looked great to start the 2026 season, having not eclipsed 50 yards through five games. He’ll remain a shaky fantasy start in Week 6 when the Ravens host the Browns.
This is an extremely unfortunate occurrence for the 33-year-old pro. Hargrave has one year remaining on his contract. He faces a tough recovery, and Rapoport notes that this is the second Achilles tendon rupture for the Packers’ defense in as many weeks, with LB Edgerrin Cooper suffering the same injury in Week 4 against the Buccaneers. Hargrave will ultimately require surgery and be placed on injured reserve.
The Lions’ backup linebacker is expected to miss some time. The Lions will also be without WR Tom Kennedy, who serves as the team’s top returner, for a while. Kennedy suffered a “sprain,” seemingly in his knee, during a return.
Penix took the full brunt of a brutal hit to the midsection late in the fourth quarter of Week 5 against the Ravens. He would leave for one play due to the medical timeout, return for one play, and then retreat to the sideline. Tua Tagovailoa came on in relief in overtime, with the team designating Penix questionable to return with an injury to his ribs. Penix completed 19-of-32 passes for 240 yards and one touchdown prior to departing, adding eight yards on two carries. Fantasy managers will want to monitor his practice status in the coming days ahead of a Week 6 meeting with the Bears.
Tagovailoa came on in relief of the injured Michael Penix late in the fourth quarter and would be charged with leading the Falcons to a potential game-tying drive in overtime after the Ravens took the ball and scored a touchdown to start the extra period. He completed one pass at the end of the fourth quarter, one in overtime, and then threw a game-ending interception to send the Falcons to a 2-3 record ahead of a Week 6 meeting with the Bears. Fantasy managers of Penix will want to track his status closely in the coming days.
Robinson suffered through poor offensive efficiency in the first half, finally breaking loose for a 38-yard carry on the team’s first possession of the third quarter. Although the receiving production and yardage total were enough to salvage a usable fantasy week, it was only the second time in five games in which Robinson failed to find the end zone. Robinson remains an elite fantasy RB1 ahead of a Week 6 showdown against the Bears in Atlanta.
Brissett also rushed twice for 19 yards and nearly scored on a trick play via a seven-yard reception. He was stopped at the Lions’ two-yard line. Brissett guided the Cardinals to a 14-play scoring drive on their first possession, which he capped off with a two-yard touchdown strike to backup TE Teagan Quitoriano. The bottom dropped out after that. The Cardinals racked up five straight drives ending a punt, with Brissett only managing to break the dreary streak by throwing an interception. Brissett managed to salvage his box score with another Quitoriano score, and a juggling touchdown catch secured by Trey McBride. Brissett also coaxed a few big plays out of fellow backup TE Elijah Higgins. Apparently, the veteran quarterback is ready to target more towering pass catchers with Marvin Harrison Jr. now a Texan. Brissett is borderline QB1/2 with a shaky floor in Week 6 against the Rams. Coach Mike LaFleur said post-game that he is not considering a quarterback change.
Wilson almost scored a passing touchdown via an end-around trick play on the Cardinals’ opening drive, but his receiver, Jacoby Brissett, was stopped two yards shy of the end zone. Heartbreak struck again two drives later, when Wilson only got one foot in bounds along the sideline on a would-be 19-yard catch. Brissett went right back to him on the following play, but the contested pass edged past Wilson’s outstretched hands. Wilson tacked on a couple of short gains before snagging a 17-yard pass on the Cardinals’ ninth drive, and he nearly bagged a 47-yard touchdown down the left sideline on the 10th drive, but his coverage defender effectively contested it, resulting in an incompletion. Wilson should handle a WR2-level workload against the Rams in Week 6.
